About this product
Thymus vulgaris (common thyme) is an evergreen aromatic herb with small leaves, used in cooking and grown in beds, containers and rock gardens. It flowers in summer with small pink-lilac blooms that attract bees. Supplied in a 9 cm pot.
Grows in a sunny spot in light, rather dry, well-drained soil. Do not overwater – too much moisture is harmful to thyme.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in spring in a sunny spot in light, free-draining soil (add sand to heavy clay). Space plants about 25–30 cm apart.
Care. Water only in dry spells. Trim lightly in spring to keep plants compact, avoiding cutting into old woody growth. Cover with spruce boughs in a cold winter.
