Advice from our agronomist
Light and position Needs bright indirect light; outdoors part shade suits. Strong midday sun dries it out, and too little light weakens it.
Watering Misting alone is not enough: soak the plant once a week for 30–60 minutes in room-temperature water. Then shake off excess and let it dry completely within 3–4 hours (upside down), otherwise it rots.
Humidity and care Attach the plant to a branch, stone or dish – no soil is used. Air movement matters; in a closed glass globe the plant rots.
Feeding and repotting Feed 1–2 times a month in the growing season with a very weak solution of a Tillandsia or orchid fertiliser added to the soaking water. After flowering the mother plant dies but leaves pups that can be separated.
