Seklos universal coconut coir substrate 10 L is a pressed 600 g coconut-fibre brick that, once soaked, makes about 10 L of loose substrate for sowing seeds and planting flowers, houseplants and bulbs.
Coir substrate absorbs water quickly and holds moisture far longer than peat while staying loose and airy, so the roots can breathe freely. It speeds up seed germination and plant growth; it can be mixed with garden soil in equal parts or used to mulch plants and shrubs.
Preparation is easy: put the brick in a container, pour over 3 L of lukewarm water, wait about 15 minutes and stir before use. The coir brick is a handy additive for peat-based mixes and a stand-alone substrate for seedlings.

Preparation. Put the brick (600 g) in a bucket or bowl, pour over 3 L of lukewarm water and wait about 15 minutes until it has fully expanded. Fluff and stir the substrate before use.
Sowing and repotting. Use the ready substrate for sowing seeds, pricking out seedlings and planting flowers and houseplants. It ensures quick germination and good rooting.
Mixes and mulching. Mix the substrate in equal parts with garden soil for beds and containers, or use it as mulch around plants and shrubs – it holds moisture well.
Storage. Keep the brick dry and in its closed packaging until use. Prepared moist substrate is best used right away.
