Par preci
Elegant lovegrass (Eragrostis) AGRONOM is an annual ornamental grass (Eragrostis elegans) about 50 cm tall with attractive leaves and flower heads. The packet contains 0.2 g of seeds.
The flowering panicles create a pinkish mist effect in the flower bed. The plant suits borders, flower beds and mixed borders as well as containers; it self-seeds, so young plants may appear by themselves the following year.
It is easy to grow from seed: sow for seedlings in March–April or straight into the ground after frosts, in a sunny spot with light, well-drained soil. Some data are given for the species.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Sowing. Sow in March–April in seed trays, pressing the seeds lightly onto the substrate surface: they are tiny and germinate in light. Temperature +18…+22 °C; seedlings emerge in about 1–2 weeks (species data).
Planting. Plant the seedlings in their permanent place in late May to early June after frosts, in a sunny spot about 20–25 cm apart. Sowing straight into the ground in May also works.
Care. The plant is undemanding: moderate watering and light, loose soil. Too much nitrogen makes the panicles less graceful and can cause lodging.
Use. The annual flowers until frost, after which the plants are removed. The seeds self-sow, so young plants may appear the following year.
