About this product
White trunk protection mesh — a breathable, flexible sleeve fitted around the trunk of a young tree. It protects the bark from rodents, hares and roe deer, and it also saves the trunk when a strimmer comes too close in the grass.
The white colour does a second job: it reflects winter sun and prevents the bark scald that happens when the sunny side of a trunk thaws by day and freezes again at night. Mesh size 2 × 3 mm, UV-stabilised.

Advice from our agronomist
Fit it in autumn. Rodents and hares start on bark once snow lies and other food runs out — the mesh should be on the trunk by then.
Leave no gap at the bottom. Push the lower edge right down to the soil: the bare trunk above the snow line is exactly where gnawing begins.
Let the trunk grow. The mesh breathes and flexes, but check in spring that it has not become tight on a thickened trunk.
