Zinc-plated stirrup hoe
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
The Zinc-plated stirrup hoe is a long-handled stirrup (loop) hoe for cutting weeds and loosening the soil surface in beds, between rows and on paths.
The hoe has a zinc-plated loop blade 115 mm wide and a wooden handle; overall length is about 155 cm (140 cm handle).
A stirrup hoe cuts weeds just below the surface on both the push and the pull stroke, so weeding is fast and done without bending. Suitable for vegetable, berry and flower beds.

Advice from our agronomist
Use. For removing weeds and loosening the soil surface in beds, between rows, under shrubs and on gravel paths.
How to use. Hold the hoe at an angle and move it back and forth 1–3 cm deep in the soil — the blade cuts through weed roots. Do not use it for digging.
Care and storage. Clean soil off the hoe after use and store it dry. Sharpen the blade now and then with a file or whetstone.
Gardener’s tip. Hoe in dry weather and often — young weeds dry out quickly on the surface and do not re-root.
