Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot in well-drained soil. Space plants 30–40 cm apart.
Watering Water in dry spells; established plants tolerate drought well.
Pruning Cut off faded spikes to encourage a second flush; trim old growth in spring.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring with compost; too much food makes the stems flop. Hardy; needs no cover.
