Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot with well-drained soil; wet soil is unsuitable. Space plants 30–50 cm apart (up to 60 cm for tall cultivars).
Watering Water in dry spells; prefers constantly moist but not waterlogged soil.
Pruning Cut stems to the ground in autumn or early spring; the tall plant is sturdy and usually needs no staking.
Feeding and winter care No feeding is needed; too much food makes the plant floppy. Hardy; no cover is needed.
