Advice from our agronomist
Light and position Grows in bright indirect light and tolerates part shade, though more slowly. Strong midday sun can scorch the leaves.
Watering Water sparingly: once the soil has dried out completely, about every 2–3 weeks and less in winter. Thick tubers store water, and excess causes rot.
Humidity and care Air humidity is not important. Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth. The sap can irritate skin – wear gloves when repotting.
Feeding and repotting Feed monthly from spring to autumn at half strength; not in winter. Repot in spring into a light, well-drained mix.
