Lavenders

Lavender (Lavandula) is a fragrant sub-shrub whose purple spikes and silver-grey foliage bring a Mediterranean mood to the garden. In Estonia, English lavender is the main choice, as it is hardy enough when given the right spot. The flowers attract bees and butterflies.

Lavender needs full sun and dry, free-draining, ideally limy soil; winter wet is a greater threat than frost. Prune in spring, but never cut into old wood. It suits edging, rose beds and pots. Order lavender from ALLIKASILM with delivery across Estonia and the EU.
