Lettuce "Galander", 1 g
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Lettuce “Galander” (Lactuca sativa) is a romaine-type lettuce with a tall, elongated oval head. The outer leaves are dark green and crinkled, the inner leaves pale, with a juicy, crunchy midrib.
Romaine is the toughest of all lettuces: the leaves do not wilt quickly in the bowl, hold up well to dressing and are even good for grilling. “Galander” is a classic choice for a Caesar salad and sandwiches, and the dense head keeps in the fridge for a long time.
The pack contains 1 g. Made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in succession. Lettuce matures all at once: sow a short row every 2-3 weeks for fresh heads all summer.
Leave room for the head. Thin to 25-30 cm — in a crowded row no head forms and the leaves start to rot.
Water evenly, in the morning. Drought makes the leaf bitter and sends lettuce to seed; evening watering over the leaves invites rot.
