Leaf lettuce "Lollo", 1 g, Žalia stotelė
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Leaf lettuce “Lollo” (Lactuca sativa) — a lollo-type lettuce (Lollo Bionda) with pale green, deeply frilled leaves. This mid-early variety is high-yielding and disease resistant, and its lacy rosettes look attractive on the plate and in the bed alike.
It is ready in 50-63 days and regrows after cutting. Suitable for polytunnels and the open field. The lettuce is cold hardy: it can be sown outdoors as soon as coltsfoot comes into flower. It does not need much heat but likes good light and loose, fertile soil.
The pack contains 1 g of seed, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Start early. The first sowing can go in during April, as soon as the soil is dry enough to work. Sow in rows 25-30 cm apart and cover the seed with about 1 cm of soil.
Give it plenty of light. In shade the rosettes grow loose and the leaves lose much of their frill. Ventilate the greenhouse on hot days, as overheating encourages bolting.
Keep the soil loose and moist. Hoe between the rows after rain and water less often but thoroughly. Make repeat sowings in summer to keep fresh leaves coming until autumn.
