About this product
Lettuce “May Queen” (Lactuca sativa) is an early butterhead lettuce, also known by its German name Maikönig. The head is round and soft, and the leaves are tender and buttery, without any coarse crunch.
Its strengths are speed and tolerance of cool weather: it is ideal for the very first spring sowing and for the greenhouse while warmth-loving crops are still waiting. The first lettuce of spring to reach the table.
The pack contains 1 g. Made by Sėklos.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in succession. Lettuce matures all at once: sow a short row every 2-3 weeks for fresh heads all summer.
Leave room for the head. Thin to 25-30 cm — in a crowded row no head forms and the leaves start to rot.
Water evenly, in the morning. Drought makes the leaf bitter and sends lettuce to seed; evening watering over the leaves invites rot.
