Lettuce "Red Iceberg", 1 g

About this product
Lettuce “Red Iceberg” (Lactuca sativa) is an iceberg lettuce with reddish outer leaves. On the outside the leaves are bronze-red, while inside there is a dense, pale green and crunchy heart, just as you would expect from an iceberg.
Thanks to its colour it already looks lovely in the bed, and in the salad bowl the red edges add a contrast that ordinary green iceberg cannot. The dense head stays fresh in the fridge for a long time.
The pack contains 1 g. Made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in succession. Lettuce matures all at once: sow a short row every 2-3 weeks for fresh heads all summer.
Leave room for the head. Thin to 25-30 cm — in a crowded row no head forms and the leaves start to rot.
Water evenly, in the morning. Drought makes the leaf bitter and sends lettuce to seed; evening watering over the leaves invites rot.
