Lettuce "Rosela", 1 g
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Lettuce “Rosela” (Lactuca sativa) is a red loose-leaf lettuce with wavy, crinkled leaves. The leaf tips and edges are wine red while the base stays green, so the rosette looks attractive in the bed even before harvest.
It does not form a head, and the leaves can be picked one at a time all summer. They are soft and juicy with a mild flavour. Together with green lettuce, “Rosela” gives the bowl the colour contrast that is the whole point of a mixed salad.
The pack contains 1 g. Made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Pick the outer leaves. Cut the outer leaves of the rosette and leave the heart — the plant regrows and crops for weeks.
Sow in succession. A new short row every 3 weeks keeps the leaves young and tender all summer.
Keep the soil moist. Drought makes leaves coarse and bitter; in hot weather lettuce prefers part shade.
