About this product
Lettuce «Humil» (Lactuca sativa) — an overwintering butterhead, especially suited to autumn sowing, giving a very early spring crop while others are still waiting to be sown.
It can be grown all year round — outdoors, under cover and in the greenhouse. The head is firm, the leaves pale, smooth and glossy with excellent taste and texture. It grows best in sandy loam or light loam, well prepared and weed-free.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in succession. Lettuce matures all at once: sow a short row every 2-3 weeks for fresh heads all summer.
Leave room for the head. Thin to 25-30 cm — in a crowded row no head forms and the leaves start to rot.
Water evenly, in the morning. Drought makes the leaf bitter and sends lettuce to seed; evening watering over the leaves invites rot.
