Lettuce "Rouge Grenobloise", 1 g, Žalia stotelė

About this product
Lettuce «Rouge Grenobloise» (Lactuca sativa) — an old French batavia named after Grenoble. The head is fairly large, the leaves pale, crisp and brown-edged.
It takes 55 days. The flavour is excellent, it is not prone to bolting and is cold-hardy, so it suits a cool spring and autumn too. Sow direct or raise transplants; it does best in humus-rich, free-draining soil in sun.
Pack of 1 g. Made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in succession. Lettuce matures all at once: sow a short row every 2-3 weeks for fresh heads all summer.
Leave room for the head. Thin to 25-30 cm — in a crowded row no head forms and the leaves start to rot.
Water evenly, in the morning. Drought makes the leaf bitter and sends lettuce to seed; evening watering over the leaves invites rot.
